Shadows of Light

Life is too short to just live it in the shadows

Step out into the light

And you'll be amazed at how far you can go

Shelters are meant to protect you from the weather

But not meant to enslave your potential forever

As I grow older and wiser I am beginning to learn this lesson

I'm overcoming my fears, learning from my losses, and embracing my blessings

In the darkness there's just cold and mold

In the light, the sun glitters a warm gold

Life is too short for just living it  in the shadows

So join me and let go

Let go of your insecurities

Let out your inner beauty
